Summer Tour Plus! Volunteer Application - 2024
Summer Tour Plus! (STP!) is a program presented by Morikami Museum for children’s groups and summer camps. This summer the program will consist of a guided tour through our new exhibit and hands-on art projects. High school student volunteers are requested and must be at least 15 years old to apply for Summer Tour Plus! positions. They will assist instructors with the preparation of materials and work with the children as needed. The Summer Tour Plus! program is held Tuesday through Friday, starting Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 and ending on Friday, August 2nd, 2024. Students must be available for a minimum of two (2) days a week, but may volunteer up to four (4) days each week from 9:30am to 12:30pm. (Occasionally, there may be an afternoon tour, and additional volunteer hours are required, but advance notice will be provided.)
Interviews will take place to select the most qualified individuals based on maturity and availability, as well as interest and experience with Japanese culture and working with children. Students must also fill out a Palm Beach County Volunteer Application.
There is a required orientation for all volunteers on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 3:00 pm, meeting at the Morikami Museum. All hours volunteered count toward the community service hours that your school requires and a letter will be provided to verify hours earned at the end of the summer. This Morikami STP! Application must be submitted no later than April 5, 2024 online through the form below.
