Nihongo: Introduction to Japanese is a beginner and lower intermediate program teaching Japanese speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Students are introduced to Japanese culture and lifestyles through lessons and conversation. Levels I and II use Japanese for Busy People I (JBP I) and levels III and IV use Japanese for Busy People II (JBP II). Part 1-3 of each level should be taken sequentially as a series.

Both books should include the CD. Please bring with you on the first day of classes.

CONTENT
- Continuation of hiragana. Units 2 & 3.
- This workshop is the same as the Nihongo class – Part 1, just taught in a shorter time frame.
- Students who complete this workshop may go on to Nihongo Intensive Workshop III or the Nihongo Level I-Part 3 Class.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Sumiko Uo is a Japan-born educator who currently teaches at Florida Atlantic University and taught previously at Florida International University. A student of language and traditional Japanese cultural arts, Ms. Uo has taught Japanese language, calligraphy, literature and cinema to both children and adults. Her classes will appeal to beginners, as well as those with basic knowledge of Japanese.
