Material Fee: $40 (cash payable to the instructor)

Kintsugi is an inspired version of the traditional Japanese art form of mending broken pottery with gold powder.

Materials to bring:

  • A small hammer
  • An apron
  • A small stack of newspaper
  • A box to carry your creation back home.  It can be cardboard or plastic and should be at least 12in width x 12in length x 4in high.
  • You may also bring one small bowl or plate and the instructor will look at them to see if they will work. (Advance registration required)

 


Meet Your Instructor

Claudia Henao is a glass and floral artist. She is a self-taught artist, with a 20 years career spanning from when she traveled and lived in Europe for around 17 years with her family.  Always surrounded and inspired by nature, her artistic creativity started to include floral design with her glasswork a few years ago. Mrs. Henao started mixing glass and natural elements in her work which allows for a very unique and magical experience for the eye. Her creative repertoire encompasses unique botanical pieces like jewelry, hats glasses, etc.
