Peaceful Forest is a Taiko drumming group led by Takumi Kato and his three sons—Sogen (13), Ryoma (12), and Yamato (8). Together, they share the powerful rhythms of traditional Japanese drumming while promoting peace and cultural connection.

Takumi Kato has won several accolades for his taiko performances, and as a tourism ambassador for Ena City and the honorary director of Tokiwaza, a Kabuki theater in Gifu Prefecture, he has dedicated his life to sharing Japanese culture and traditions. Now as a family, Peaceful Forest carries on the desire to make connections through the energy and joy of taiko.

Takumi’s mission was shaped by his experience in the United States during 9•11, which deeply impacted him and inspired his commitment to peace. Through Taiko drumming, he seeks to connect people, honor memories, and give back to the communities that supported him.
