Traditional Japanese kites, called tako, are made in an incredible range of sizes – from tiny kite-shaped amulets given at shrines to giant kites up to fifty feet across.

Introduced to Japan through Buddhist practices from China & Korea , kite design and kite-flying reached extraordinary heights of sophistication during the Edo period (1600-1868).

Our limited edition kites include handle & line, skytails & are made from ripstop (nylon) fabric.
