In 1914, Japanese pearl farmers began culturing freshwater pearls using mussels native to Lake Biwa. This lake, the largest in Japan, lies near the city of Kyoto. This resulted in the name Biwa pearl and at one time, it was nearly synonymous with freshwater pearls.
Our double biwa pearl ring is actually created using two connecting biwa pearls which have been bezel set in .950 sterling silver. Designed by Charles Albert.
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of the biwa pearl, the color and shape pattern may vary slightly from the image shown.
Biwa Pearl: 16mm x 22mm
Adjustable 5mm Ring Shank
Fits Ring Size: 5-10
All Charles Albert pieces are Signed/Hallmarked.
