Morikami is making all your wishes come true this July during Tanabata, also known as the Japanese Star Festival! Take part in the ancient tradition by writing a wish for the future on colorful strips of paper and hanging them on our bamboo trees! FREE with paid museum admission.

Have some free time on Fridays? Morikami is offering a 4-week session for advanced Ikebana students this month. Students will expand on their existing knowledge of the principles and styles of the contemporary Sogetsu School and make beautiful fresh flower arrangements to take home and enjoy!

Do you like to dance? If so, you’re in luck, as Morikami is offering two Bon Odori workshops in July! Participants will learn the choreography of this lively dance, which welcomes the visiting spirits of loved ones to participate during their brief annual visit to our world. Advanced registration is required for participants ages 7 and up.

In conjunction with our new exhibition, Japan’s Robot Kingdom, we invite kids (and adults) of all ages to join us for a fun-filled day of robot-inspired activities, crafts, games and more! All activities are FREE with paid museum admission.
