Sushi & Stroll

Friday, May 8, 5:30-8:30pm
Our much-loved summer evening events are back, with garden strolling, café dining, sake imbibing, and THREE taiko performances. Buy your tickets early (and save a buck, too!) at Also, this year – for the first time ever – we’re offering a LIMITED amount of taiko tickets online in advance. Please note: Taiko tickets can only be used on the date and time you select at checkout, while admission tickets may be used at any one of our five Sushi & Stroll evenings.

World Bonsai Day

Saturday, May 9, 10am-5pm
The Third Annual World Bonsai Day offers something for amateurs to aficionados of this ancient art: bring your own tree to our bonsai clinic to get tips from the experts or explore our world-class bonsai collection with a guided tour. All activities are FREE with paid museum admission.

Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 10, 10am-5pm
Where better to celebrate mom? Enjoy a prix-fixe brunch at the Cornell Café, a craft for the kids in the lobby, a gift with purchase in the Museum Store and a chance to win a Charles Albert pendant – no purchase necessary!

Discover Sake

Friday, May 22, 6-9pm
Join us as we host five of Japan’s most respected sake brewers, each from different prefectures, for an evening of premium sake selections paired with dinner bites from our Cornell Cafe. Guests will also hear from John Gauntner, “the Sake Guy,” as he gives short talks about what makes each of these breweries unique. Attendance is limited at this exclusive evening, so make sure to get your tickets early!
