Sake is served in tokkuri (small sake bottles) and poured into o-choko (small sake cups). The tokkuri can be placed in a bowl of hot water to warm it – the recommended temperature of warm sake should be about body temperature but not above 104 degrees F.
This sake set consists of a tokkuri with the word and kanji for fortune and four o-choko with the symbols and words for victory, love, longevity, and dream. Each piece has a white body with striking black calligraphy and red lettering. Plus, each piece has the name of the calligraphy artist as part of the design.
The sake bottle – the tokkuri – holds approximately 8 oz.; each small cup – o-choko – holds approximately 1 ½ oz. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Made in Japan.
And don’t forget to say Kanpai or Cheers before you drink!
