When You Shop in the Museum Store

For online orders or catalog requests, we also require your email address so that you can receive order and shipping confirmation emails, and so that we can communicate with you if we have difficulty processing your order or request. Class, Workshop & Lecture Policies

Pre-Registration

All classes, workshops, and some special programs require pre-registration. All classes must be purchased in full per session. There are no partial payments for individual classes of a session.

Cancellation

Prior notification of cancellation from the registrant must be received by the registrar three working days before the program. The museum reserves the right to cancel a program for any reason. If the program is cancelled by the museum, the total tuition will be refunded.

Classes: Registration will be refunded in full until three working days before the first class. Fifty percent of the registration is refundable before the second class. No registration will be refunded after the second class.

Ikebana flower arrangement classes: The flower fee for the first week of missed class will be deducted from the 50 percent class refund and will be paid to the instructor if the registrant does not show up or cancels.

Workshops, Lectures, & Education Events: Refunds may be made up until three working days before the event. There are no refunds after the event.

Fees and Materials

Some courses have a flower or material fee which is payable directly to the instructor at the first class of each session in cash or check. Please note individual class material requirements.

Age Restrictions

The minimum unaccompanied age for classes is fifteen years old. Twelve- to fourteen-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult also enrolled in the class. Children younger than twelve years old cannot enroll in classes or workshops unless otherwise specified.

Lectures

Tickets will be held at the door at will call on the day of the lecture under the attendee’s name. Unless otherwise specified, all tickets must be purchased in advance.

Personal Property

Please do not leave valuables unattended. The museum is not responsible for loss.

Special Needs

If you have special needs, please let us know so we may better serve you.

Waivers

For some courses, a waiver form may be presented to you for signing on the first day of class.

Store Returns, Exchanges & Shipping

Shipping

Please allow 7-10 business days for receipt of the order for delivery. If there is any anticipated delay, we will notify you. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or international addresses at this time.

We do not offer a gift wrapping service at this time. If you have indicated that your order is a gift, we will remove all price tags and will include a hand written note from you on a business-size card from Morikami Museum, imprinted with our logo. Your greeting should be limited to 25 words or less.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to be happy with all of your purchases.

All returns for credit or replacement must be made within 30 days of purchase and require a return authorization. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

We will issue a return authorization in order for us to track and expedite your return or exchange.
