Friendship dolls were introduced in the early 1920s as a way to east cultural tensions between the USA and Japan. Both countries exchanged dolls as a symbol of friendship. Each Japanese doll sent to the USA represented a different prefecture of Japan. Join us to foster this cultural exchange with a Friendship Doll craft!
